Sunday is Funday at Lagundri Bay – By Mark Flint of KabuNohi Sorake Resort
We love nothing more on a Sunday than sitting on the deck and watching the action on the point. Visiting tourists from mainland Sumatra who have never witnessed surfing, pose for selfies with surfers behind, local kids mix with visiting kids and there’s no video games here! The surf at this time of year is so fun and Kiddies Corner is like a skate park to rip apart. This was Sunday 24 Sep 2017 and we hope you enjoy the kaleidoscope of culture that is quite unique to Lagundri Bay, Nias. Special mention made to the little blondie surfer girl in the Blue vest. She is the 8yr old daughter of Nias regular, Glen Curtis and she has been having a ball at Kiddies Corner all week. When she’s not ripping up the waves, she’s hanging out with the local kids in the rock pools and having the time of her life. Nias really is a special place to bring the family for a surf trip.
